Our dream at The Well Fed Caterpillar is to heal and empower: to reduce habitat loss, build healthy soil, mitigate climate change, clean and preserve our water resources, and increase biodiversity. Wild-type, native plants do all of this and more, and caterpillars -- keystone critters in our food web -- depend on those plants to thrive.

People tell us a lot that they want to do the right thing ecologically, but they don't know how. It's hard in our area to find native perennials and designers who know what to do with them. But it is more than possible to incorporate these plants into home, business, community, and other landscapes. The Well Fed Caterpillar wants to expand public awareness and make life-centric gardening more accessible.
